Kylian Mbappe ‘will only leave PSG if he receives loyalty bonus the club owe him for next year’

Kylian Mbappe will reportedly leave Paris Saint Germain this summer if he gets the loyalty bonus the club owe him for next year.

In recent weeks, the future of Mbappe has been the main talking point in the world of football.

After it was confirmed that Lionel Messi will leave the French champions for MLS club Inter Miami, the future of Mbappe is now up in the air.

It was previously reported that Mbappe will not sign an extension with PSG, meaning his contract will run out at the end of the 23/24 season.

In order to prevent losing him on a free transfer, there have been reports that PSG could sell their talisman this summer.

However, according to Spanish news outlet Marca, Mbappe will only accept to leave PSG this summer if he receives the loyalty bonus that was included in his contract until June 2024.

If not, he plans to stay with PSG this season and commit his future to Real Madrid in January ahead of a free transfer.

It is believed that Mbappe is due to receive €60 million net salary and a €90 million loyalty bonus for the remainder of his current deal with the Parc des Princes club.

Mbappe did previously speak about his future during the international break.

He said: “I’ve already spoken about this, I’ve said that my objective is to stay at PSG, it’s my only option right now, I’m ready to come back for pre-season. Why go to the end of my contract? There is nothing to explain, people can talk.

“They don't have all the ins and outs, too bad for them, I know why I'm doing this, there's no no problem with that. Did I hesitate to come [to the press conference]? Not at all, I have a responsibility, it's not a few outside noises that will scare me away from my responsibility.”

Meanwhile, some reports have claimed that Madrid and PSG have agreed a fee of €250 million for the transfer of Mbappe, which will be a new world record.
