Odion Ighalo gives a tour of the luxurious plane Al Hilal use for away games, it's insane

Fans have been given an insight into how Al Hilal travel to games thanks to Odion Ighalo, who filmed his ride on the luxurious Boeing 747-400 plane chartered by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.

Al Hilal, who finished third in the Saudi Pro League last season behind Al Nassr and champions Al Ittihad, have been actively looking for new recruits in the early stages of this summer's transfer window.

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves is set to join for a club-record fee believed to be in the region of £47 million, while Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly has agreed a three-year contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Manchester City pair Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan have also been strongly linked alongside Sergio Busquets, Neymar and Alvaro Morata, who could become one of the world's highest paid players if he decides to move.

Clearly, Al Hilal are trying their utmost to strengthen a team that currently features the likes of former Flamengo winger Michael and Colombian defensive midfielder Gustavo Cuellar.

Odion Ighalo, the former Watford and Manchester United striker, was arguably their most recognised name until earlier this month.

The 34-year-old played in the Middle East for two years. After joining Al Shabab in February 2021, he left a year later for city rivals Al Hilal – a team that tend to travel in style to games.

Earlier on in the season, Ighalo decided to film a 90-second tour of the private Boeing 747-400 plane, believed to be worth $220 million, according to Aeroaffaires.

It is believed Al Hilal travelled in the aircraft for the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco, where they suffered a 5-3 defeat to five-time winners Real Madrid in the final.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal's plane, meanwhile, originally had 400 passenger seats, although they were replaced by a number of luxury items, including a dining room for 14 people and several bedrooms.

A golden throne was also introduced in the middle of the cabin.

Ighalo, meanwhile, is currently a free agent after leaving Al Hilal at the end of the 2022/23 campaign. The Nigerian forward notched 21 goals and two assists in 34 appearances for the club last season.
