Richarlison bites back at Prem pair who publicly taunted him

Tottenham forward Richarlison has hit back at Premier League duo Callum Wilson and Michail Antonio for mocking the Brazilian.

Signed by Spurs for a whopping £50million last summer, Richarlison's first season in north London went abysmally, with the 26-year-old finding the back of the next just three times in all competitions and just once in the Premier League.

There were three occasions where Richarlison thought he had scored for Spurs this season too, prompting wild celebrations from the Brazilian.

However, on all three of those occasions, Richarlison was actually found to be offside, meaning he was left with egg on his face after celebrating wildly by taking his top off.

And even when he did eventually find the back of the net for Spurs in the Premier League, equalising for them late on against Liverpool to make it 3-3 at Anfield - where he also took his shirt off - Tottenham managed to collapse in astonishing fashion seconds later, conceding to Diogo Jota to lose the game 4-3.

Speaking on the Footballer's Football podcast back in May, Richarlison was subject of some light ribbing from Premier League forwards Callum Wilson and Michail Antonio for his celebration misfortune this term.

Antonio laughed: "He's scored four times this season, yeah. Three of the times he's been offside. He has taken his top off four times this season."

Wilson then added: "He's got four yellows, he's almost on a suspension."

However, it appears those comments have finally hit home with Richarlison, causing the Brazilian to fire back at the pair.

In a TikTok comment on the video of Wilson and Antonio laughing, Richarlison wrote: "how many goals do both have in the World Cup?"

And of course, after biting hard, Richarlison was then mocked further on social media by fans who spotted his attempt at a comeback.

One fan wrote: "Wilson scored 17 goals more in the league this season pal." Another added: "Callum Wilson had 18 goals and 5 assist. Where as richarlison got 1 goal and 3 assists. Antonio still did better than richarlison with 5 goals and 3 assists."

A third commented: "can we ask him how many he has in PL." A fourth said: "I forgot, how many of those wc goals helped spurs finish 8th?"
