David De Gea branded a 'child' after cryptic tweet sends Man Utd fans crazy

David de Gea has posted his second cryptic tweet in as many weeks after Manchester United stepped up their interest in Andre Onana.

De Gea, 32, saw his United deal expire last Friday (June 30). Two days before that he'd tweeted a yawning emoji on his social media account.

Reports suggested he'd agreed to a pay cut to stay at Old Trafford, before those terms were revoked by the club. His contract situation took a back seat last weekend as he married long-time partner Edurne.

But on the same day United made an improved offer of up to €50million (£42.8m) for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to Fabrizio Romano, De Gea has now shared an emoji of a man juggling.

Some supporters were annoyed with the veteran shot stopper, who joined the Red Devils back in 2011. One replied: "Stop being a baby and just say what you have on your mind ffs."

Another quipped: "Have to be able to catch things to juggle David you child."

"Grown man una, say it with your chest man. Moving like a tumblr girl smh," commented a third, while a fourth fumed: "Fanbase needs to stop getting rattled over this unemployed man."

Others gave him their support, however. One pleaded: "We need you to stay legend. Five year contract proposal incoming…" Another wrote: "We as United fans love you so much. You are the best thing that ever happened to our club. Please stay."

And one argued: "It's scandalous how the club has handled the De Gea issue. Technically, he's no longer a Man Utd player but at the very least the club should be upfront and tell him whether they're renewing or not. This is not how you treat a club legend."
