Mbappe To Receive €60m If Still A PSG Player By August

Kylian Mbappe is set to be handed a €60 million loyalty bonus if he stays at Paris Saint-Germain past 1 August, according to reports.

The France forward has been the subject of a world-record bid from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in recent days, with the Saudi Arabian club wanting to sign Mbappe on a one-year deal.

They have reportedly offered PSG a €300m transfer fee for the 24-year-old, which has been accepted, while Mbappe has been presented with a €700m salary over the course of just one year. The offer means he will be able to join Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2024.

Mbappe is yet to agree to a move to Saudi Arabia, and some reports suggest he is willing to sit on the bench at PSG for next season in order to leave on a free transfer next summer.

However, president Nasser Al Khelaifi is determined to extract a transfer fee for the 2018 World Cup winner and is attempting to offload him to clubs across the world.

For Mbappe though, it’s in his best financial interests to wait until August before deciding on a new club. According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, “Mbappe is due a loyalty bonus of €60 million if he's still a PSG player next Tuesday 1 August. His contract states he gets the gross fidelity bonus in instalments subject to certain conditions.”

According to Spanish outlet Revelo, Mbappe would rather sit in the stands at Parc des Princes than receive a world-record salary to turn out for Al-Hilal next season.

Al-Hilal have already signed Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ruben Neves so far this summer, but it seems Mbappe is unlikely to join them at the club.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur have all enquired about Mbappe, as per multiple reports, but Real Madrid still appears to be his most likely destination.
