Pep Guardiola gave hilarious response when asked if he is the GOAT

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been labelled as the GOAT, or Greatest Of All Time, due to his immense successes at Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and City. He finally won the elusive Champions League trophy in the 2022-2023 season, completing a historic treble for City.

During City's pre-season tour in Tokyo, Japan, Guardiola was asked whether he thinks he is the GOAT. He replied with a humorous answer, saying, "I am not a goat and I don't have any intention to be."

Guardiola was also asked how he thinks his side could look by the end of the summer transfer window. He said that many things are going to happen and he cannot answer for sure. He said that he wants the best for his players and that he spoke with Kyle Walker about his future. He said that everything was right with Walker, but we will have to wait and see what happens.

Kyle Walker has been linked with a move to German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, but it has been reported that City are keen to hold onto the England international. Winger Riyad Mahrez is said to be closing in on a move to the Saudi Professional League after a fee was agreed with Al Ahli.

After losing captain Ilkay Gundogan upon the expiration of his contract, City decided to bring in Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea to bolster their midfield ranks. Upon signing for the club, the Croatian said, "It feels amazing. All the people here have made me feel welcome, so I feel already part of it. It's very nice to be at such a big club - a club that has won a lot in the recent years and I can't wait to get started."

City will kick off their 2023-2024 Premier League season with an away match against newly promoted Burnley.
