Tottenham Hotspur fans aren't happy with Mauricio Pochettino's first interview as Chelsea boss
Tottenham Hotspur fans have become angered by Mauricio Pochettino, claiming he has been 'disrespectful' with his first comments as Chelsea boss.
Almost as soon as Pochettino left north London in 2019 just months after leading the club to the Champions League final, many had expected him to one day return to Tottenham.
With his year out of the game following his departure from PSG and with his former club desperate for a new manager some believed this summer would be the time.
However he ended up joining his ex club's fierce rivals Chelsea instead, leading one fan to burn his book on the Argentine manager.
The 51-year-old has already had a lot to do at Stamford Bridge thanks to the number of players that have had to be cut from the squad.
He had his first day at the club on Monday and supporters in west London have already been left impressed by his manner around the training ground in Cobham.
However not everyone is impressed with his first impressions for the Blues, after he conducted his first interview as their manager with the club's media team.
Poch said: "It was easy to say yes to Chelsea. We'll work hard, play in a way the fans can enjoy football
"The history of Chelsea is to win and be at the top. We can’t have up and downs.
"In the last 10, 12, 15 years, Chelsea is the greatest team in England."
That final line about Chelsea being the 'greatest team in England' certainly hasn't gone down well with fans of Ange Postecoglou's team.
"What a rank, disrespectful comment aimed indirectly at a fan-base that adored him," snarled one.
"Despise him after this to be honest," said a second.
A third explained: "Wow he could easily said 'one of the best teams' but chose not to."
"Dead to me," another simply added.
"Hope he fails miserably. Enough talking about this guy now. Focus on Big Ange, giving him the support he deserves and getting behind the lads!", commented a fifth.
"What is this snake on about? Greatest team in England for past 15 years?!," questioned another.
And adding a snake emoji, a seventh replied: "He knows exactly what he’s doing with those comments, and it’s disrespectful to a fanbase that would have died for him."
