Arsenal 'troll' Chelsea with Declan Rice tweet after London rivals humiliated by West Ham
Arsenal seemingly trolled Chelsea as they posted a picture of Declan Rice following their London rival's defeat at West Ham.
Mauricio Pochettino suffered his first defeat as Chelsea manager when his team were humiliated by 10-man West Ham. Chelsea were beaten for the second time in three years at the London Stadium as goals from Nayef Aguerd and Michail Antonio, either side of Carney Chukwuemeka’s early equaliser, put the Irons into a 2-1 lead.
And the game was sown up deep into added time on Sunday afternoon (August 20) after £115million debutant Moises Caicedo made a rash challenge on Lucas Paqueta to give away a penalty, following a series of earlier errors.
Paqueta stepped up to convert the penalty and seal West Ham’s victory, leaving substitute Caicedo red-faced on his Blues bow after his move broke the Premier League transfer record.
And after the game, Arsenal seemingly trolled Caicedo and Chelsea, as they posted a picture of former West Ham captain Rice smiling in his Arsenal training strip, captioning the post with a waving hand.
Arsenal fans quickly appeared in the comments section as the Gunners’ dig seemingly landed, with one fan saying: “I see what you did there haha.”

A second commented: “We know what you did there,” with a third saying: “Best central midfielder in the league, no disasterclass debut from our man!”
Arsenal signed Rice from West Ham earlier on in the summer in a deal worth £105m, making him the third most expensive player in Premier League history behind Enzo Fernandez and Jack Grealish - before Caicedo smashed the record with his move to Stamford Bridge.

And the debate has only just begun between football fans regarding whether Arsenal or Chelsea made the better deal, but the earlier signs don’t look good for Caicedo who ultimately found himself partially at fault for the Blues defeat in East London.
Arsenal and Rice return to action on Monday night as they travel to Crystal Palace looking to make it two wins from two and keep pace with Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion - the only sides in the league with maximum points.
