Speaking about Kai Havertz’s role at Arsenal, former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys said: “Don't jump down my throat when I say this - let me finish my statement.
“Kai Havertz is the new Ozil without the talent. The reason I say that is, both are enigmas. They didn't know what to do with Ozil, so they sold him. Then they went and bought Havertz.
“Under Arteta, Arteta couldn't handle him. It's like Pep Guardiola. Neither can handle big players, big personalities.”
This is a rather bizarre comparison by Keys and shows how short-sighted his opinions are. Nobody has ever compared Havertz with Mesut Ozil, nor did Arsenal fans expect him to make the same impact as the German star.
Havertz, although, still has a lot to do going forward to silence his doubters and needs to be more creative with his work to get among the goals.
