Kylian Mbappe has outlined his conditions for joining Chelsea from PSG this summer.
The France international is currently set to leave PSG as a free agent next summer, having reportedly turned down all offers of an extension from the Ligue 1 champions.
PSG are said to be convinced that he has already agreed terms to join Real Madrid from next season, and are now trying to sell him to ensure they can recoup some of the £166 million fee they paid to sign him from Monaco in 2017.
They accepted a world-record bid worth £259 million from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal last month, but Mbappe refused the opportunity to speak with club representatives over a move.
Liverpool were also linked with a move for Mbappe, but manager Jurgen Klopp played down the possibility.
Now, Chelsea have emerged as a potential destination for the 24-year-old forward.
According to French outlet L'Equipe, Blues co-owner Todd Boehly has held talks with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi over a potential deal.
However, there is a catch. Mbappe is only interested in a move to Chelsea if it is a one-year loan deal.
It is claimed that he refuses to go to Chelsea for a longer period at this stage, as he wants to decide on his own future upon the expiry of his contract in June 2024.
PSG are said to be open to a loan deal, as they need to sell or loan out Mbappe for a considerable fee to be able to afford players under Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.
They have been linked with a move to sign Goncalo Ramos from Benfica as the Frenchman's replacement.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will be willing to meet Mbappe's demands, but the possibility of him joining the club is certainly an intriguing one.
