Mikel Arteta: "It feels great to win a trophy at Wembley against the best team in the world"
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was delighted with his side's 1-1 draw against Manchester City in the Community Shield on Saturday, which they won on penalties.
Arteta said that the victory was a "great boost" for the team's mentality and belief, and that it was "great to see so many happy and proud people" at Wembley.
He also praised the performance of goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who he said was "superb" in the penalty shootout.
On the new rules on touchline coaching, Arteta said that it was "difficult to change behaviour in three days" but that he and his staff would "adapt".
He also said that he welcomed the new rules on added time, which he believes will make games more fair.
Finally, Arteta addressed the speculation about competition for Ramsdale's place in the team, saying that he hoped the goalkeeper would not feel under pressure.
"The competition always exists whoever it is," he said. "That's how it has to feel like. It has to feel like this and if it doesn't feel like this we're not gonna get the best out of each player."
