Tottenham fans serenade Harry Kane to stay after he scores four against Shakhtar Donestsk

Tottenham fans sang "We want you to stay" to Harry Kane after he scored four goals in a 5-1 friendly win over Shakhtar Donestsk on Saturday.

The England captain's performance only underlined his value to Spurs, who are facing a battle to keep him at the club.

Kane is entering the final year of his contract and has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich. However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is demanding £100 million for his talisman.

Bayern submitted a final offer of £86 million on Friday, but Levy is refusing to budge. He is confident that Kane will sign a new contract, especially if Spurs can make significant progress under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Kane has so far not accepted the bumper £400,000-per-week deal that has reportedly been tabled. However, it is believed that he would be willing to extend his time at Tottenham if the team shows signs of improvement.

Spurs stuttered to eighth in the Premier League table last season, missing out on European football entirely. Bayern, on the other hand, wrapped up their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title.

This coming week, Bayern are set to bolster their attacking options by adding Rosario's 19-year-old striker Alejo Veliz for £12m, pending a medical.

It remains to be seen whether Kane will be joining Veliz in Munich next season. However, Spurs fans will be hoping that he can be persuaded to stay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
