Lionel Messi gets into heated confrontation in the tunnel with rival player

Lionel Messi engaged in a heated exchange with an opposing player during the Leagues Cup match between Inter Miami and Orlando City. 

As the teams were heading to the tunnel at half-time, Messi and one of the Orlando players appeared to exchange words. Although things got intense, their teammates stepped in to separate them. 

This incident highlights that even at 36 years old, Messi retains the fiery passion that has earned him the reputation as one of the greatest footballers ever.

 The first-half concluded with a 1-1 scoreline, with Messi scoring in the sixth minute and Cesar Araujo equalizing to level the score.

Tensions escalated as Messi bulldozed over Araujo while competing for possession. In apparent retaliation, Araujo chased down the World Cup-winner and executed a late tackle on him after the ball had been released.
