Martin Odegaard has finally gotten a tattoo. The Arsenal skipper was spotted during the international break with an inscription on his wrist.
“It’ll probably just be you and me,” the tattoo says. Photographs from the recent “Skal vi Danse” event revealed that his girlfriend, Helene Spilling, has a matching tattoo on her left arm.
Norwegian newspaper Finansavisen wrote: “Congratulations Martin – now you have truly evolved into a genuine footballer.”
Odegaard has begun this season strongly with two goals in four Premier League games. Arsenal fans will be hoping his new tattoo can spur him further.
Martin Odegaard joined Arsenal on a permanent basis in August 2021, after spending the second half of the previous season on loan from Real Madrid1. He signed a five-year contract with the Gunners for a fee of £30 million (€35 million).
Since joining Arsenal, Odegaard has been one of the most influential players for the club, both on and off the pitch. He has scored 25 goals and provided 18 assists in 94 appearances for Arsenal, playing mostly as an attacking midfielder behind the front three1.
He has also been named as the club captain in 2022, following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
