Paul Pogba could block Man United transfer from happening in potential headache for Erik ten Hag

Paul Pogba could get in Manchester United’s way as they look to get a transfer deal done in the January transfer window.

Pogba has been making unwanted headlines in recent months after it was reported that he had failed a drug test after Juventus’ win against Udinese in August.

The Frenchman was given a provisionally suspended ban in September. In October, Pogba tested positive again in a second sample, meaning he could be punished by a lengthy suspension.

Ahead of the January transfer window, it has been claimed by Fabrizio Romano that the Turin club will be focusing on bringing in midfield reinforcements.

This could be bad news for United as winger Jadon Sancho was linked with a move to Juventus after his public spat with manager Erik ten Hag.

Back in September, Sancho was left out of the squad to face Arsenal as Ten Hag publicly criticised the Englishman's performances in training.

Sancho then released a statement of his own to deny Ten Hag's claims. Since then, the 23-year-old has reportedly refused to apologise to the manager and as a result, has been 'completely exiled' from the club's first team fold.

With Sancho’s United future seemingly over, the 23-year-old was linked with a January move to Juventus to reignite his career.

However, that claim has been rebuffed by Romano due to Pogba’s possible suspension.

Apart from Juventus, the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona have also been linked with the Englishman.

Prior to United’s 2-1 win over Sheffield United in the Premier League last weekend, Ten Hag was asked about Sancho.

The Dutchman said: “Everything has been said about him.
