Arsenal fans produced a spine-tingling rendition of ‘North London Forever’ after their historic win against Manchester City.

On Sunday afternoon, the Gunners recorded their first league win over City since 2015 thanks to a late deflected Gabriel Martinelli goal.

The victory meant Arsenal have now overtaken City in the Premier League table and they are only second to local rivals Tottenham Hotspur on goals scored.

After the final whistle, the Emirates crowd produced a beautiful rendition of their now famous ‘North London Forever’ chant. You can watch the footage below.

The chant originated from a song by Louis Dunford called 'The Angel(North London Forever)'.

Back in May 2022, Dunford was invited to the Emirates and the song was played prior to kick-off for the very first time.

Since that day, it has been known as Arsenal’s anthem and is played ahead of every home match.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta spoke about the song back in 2022, he said: “It was really emotional, you know? I think there is a link with the way the team started because they were making comments in the dressing room, hearing the song with the spirit and the emotion that they did, it was unique.

“I have never experienced that here, it was the first time and I really enjoyed it and I hope that the fans enjoyed it too.”

Earlier on in the season, summer signing Declan Rice was spotted singing along to ‘North London Forever’ prior to their Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest.

Speaking after Arsenal’s win on Sunday, Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United defender Gary Neville said: “The atmosphere here is special. I've criticised them for over-celebrating, not today. That's a big moment for them. They had to beat Manchester City today.”
