'He was involved in everything': Klopp delivers verdict on Nunez after many misses vs Luton
The Uruguayan striker had nine shots in total, but only three of them were on target. He also hit the woodwork once.
Nunez's most glaring miss came in the 69th minute when he was left with an open goal but fired over the bar.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp defended Nunez after the game, saying that he was "involved in everything" and that he was "unlucky".
"Credit to Luton and how they defended and how they set up," Klopp said. "We had a lot of chances and should have had much more.
"It is a tricky task to stay fully concentrated. Looking at the game I think we didn't deserve more than a point. We could have won the game with the chances we had but now looking at it I think we deserved a point."
Liverpool will be hoping that Nunez can find his scoring boots again when they return to Premier League action next weekend.
