How much have Barca earned from Champions League so far?
Barcelona have secured passage to the Round of 16 of the Champions League after beating Porto 2-1 at home on Tuesday.
And in addition to competing for the trophy, the Catalans are getting some good money for their participation in the tournament. It comes extremely helpful as the club still finds itself in financial dire straits.
Mundo Deportivo report that Barca have already earned €70.55m from the Champions League. Let's break it down. €15.64m are guaranteed to all teams competing in the group stage and an additional €34.11m were given to the Catalans for 'historical ranking' in the competition.
Each victory pays €2.8m so Barca have yielded €11.2m from their four wins so far. The club will also receive an extra €9.6m for qualifying for the knock-out stages.
Barcelona will also be given a share of the TV money at the end of the season.
