'In 101 minutes we had one shot on target': Ex-Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein slams Arteta's VAR outburst after Newcastle loss
Former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein is not impressed with how Mikel Arteta behaved after the 1-0 loss to Newcastle United in the Premier League.
Speaking to the Daily Mail about that, he said: “In 101 minutes of football we only had one shot at goal, so you can’t really say that the team deserved to win. It is what it is,
“There is a process in place for how they deal with these things and I just think it was a little bit unnecessary. I don’t think it did the image of the club any good.”
Despite whatever Dein believes, Arteta had every right to have a go at VAR’s awful decision-making because that controversial goal cost the Gunners at least one deserved point from that game.
Arsenal have also strongly supported their manager on the matter and hope that the PGMOL doesn’t continue making these grave errors that can derail the Gunners’ title aspirations.
