Mbappe to becomes highest-paid player at Real Madrid IF he joins, potential salary revealed

Kylian Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain star, will immediately become Real Madrid's highest-paid player if or when he joins Los Blancos in 2024, according to a report by El Chiringuito (h/t Diario AS).

Real Madrid are prepared to place Mbappe on a salary of €35 million net per season, which would make him the best-paid player in the world. His gross salary could reach €70 million per year, surpassing the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar.

Mbappe's potential salary will force a monumental change in Real Madrid's strict wage structure, considering no player earns more than €11 million at the club currently. The highest earners at Real Madrid are Karim Benzema, Sergio Ramos, and Eden Hazard, who all earn around €10 million net per season.

The French striker currently earns in excess of €60 million per season at PSG plus a loyalty bonus that takes his overall yearly salary north of €100 million. He is under contract with the Parisian club until 2023, but he has refused to sign a new deal despite several offers from the club's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Real Madrid will also have to pay a handsome sign-on bonus to Mbappe if he arrives next summer as a free agent. The Spanish giants have been chasing Mbappe for years and are confident of landing him in 2024, when he will be able to join them without a transfer fee.

Mbappe, who is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, has scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists in 17 games for PSG this season. He has also won four Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, and three French League Cups with PSG, as well as the 2018 World Cup and the 2020 European Championship with France.
