Ousmane Dembele has explained his decision to leave Barcelona for PSG in the summer, saying that he wanted to play for a French club and that he was convinced to leave after maintaining contacts with the Parisians.
"Indeed, I said that I would rather stay at Barcelona [last summer], but, after maintaining contacts with PSG, I convinced myself that I should leave," Dembele told L'Equipe.
"I signed for PSG because it's a French club and I love it," he added.
Dembele has yet to score a goal for PSG after featuring in 13 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, but he has already provided three assists.
The star winger left Barcelona for PSG for €50m in the summer.
