Kobbie Mainoo in line to get 'pay rise' at Man United after 3 consecutive starts
According to The Sun, Kobbie Mainoo is set to be rewarded for his sensational performances for the Manchester United senior team.
Since showing promise in pre-season, Mainoo was sidelined at the start of the season with an injury.
He's back now and made three starts for the first-team recently. He started against Everton and Newcastle United in the Premier League as well as the 3-3 draw with Galatasaray in the Champions league.
Regardless of how poor the Red Devils were on the field, Mainoo was perhaps one of the only bright sparks.
And now, The Sun claims Man United will increase his wages to £20,000 a week once he hits double figures in number of appearances.
This is one of the clauses included in Mainoo's club contract which expires in 2027, with the option for an additional year.
His recent three starts for the club take his total number of appearances to six, which is halfway to doubling his wages. Mainoo is currently expected to earn £10,000 per week.
