Joshua Kimmich has long been linked with a move to Barcelona as the Blaugrana continues their hunt for a new midfielder.
But when asked about rumours linking him to Barca, Kimmich poured cold water on such talks by claiming he remains committed to Bayern.
"I’m only focused on Bayern. For me, it's not a winter topic at all. At some point the club will approach me, and we'll discuss it between us and not with the media," the midfielder said.
Guess who talked like this earlier this week? It's Barca's Ronald Araujo. The big defender has also been linked with a sensational move to Bayern with sources saying the Bavarians are prepared to offer €100m to get him.
However, Araujo cast a wet blanket on such talk by labelling them as baseless rumours.
"In all markets, there is talk of transfers. But I’m focused on my club, I’m happy here. And I always give my best when it’s my turn to defend this shirt," Araujo said.
Araujo and Kimmich are arguably one of the best players at Barca and Bayern respectively. Thus, it'll be pretty difficult for both clubs to let them go.
