Barcelona set to offer four players for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder

La Liga Champions Barcelona is set to offer four players in the bid to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz in the summer.

Havertz has shown what he is capable of with the ball at his feet in the Bundesliga and his performance has attracted Barcelona and Liverpool this season.

The 20-year-old is one of the best young sparks in European football having put in some impressive performance for Bayer Leverkusen over the past seasons.

The report in Sport1 claims Barcelona is prepared to offer Emerson Leite, Carles Alena or Marc Cucurella as part of the deal to sign the German midfielder who is also on the radar of Liverpool.

Emerson and Alena are both on loan at fellow La Liga team Real Betis, Bayer Leverkusen is attracted to the offer of the signing of Emerson as they are keen on a sign a right-back.

Left-back Cucurella, 21, is currently on loan at Spanish side Getafe, having made just one senior appearance for Barcelona since breaking into the first-team squad in 2017.

Alena, meanwhile, is the more recognisable option out of the three players offered in exchange, having made 27 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona last season.

Barcelona is keen on embarking on major clearance in the summer in a bid to raise fund and create space for their new recruitments in the summer
