Bayern Munich seal a £55million move for Manchester City attacker Leroy Sane

Bayern Munich has sealed a £55million move for Manchester City attacker Leroy Sane after the German winger agreed on a five-year contract with the Bundesliga champions after making it clear his future lay away from the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City accepted the offer of £45m plus £10m in add-ons for the former Schalke 04 attacker who is in the final year of his deal with the Etihad outfit.

Sane was valued £130m last summer but Bayern Munich was reluctant to pay such valuation before an anterior cruciate ligament injury Sane sustained in the Community Shield halted the deal.

With Manchester City lowering their valuation Bayern Munich have now sealed up a deal for the German international.

Manchester City also inserted a 10 per cent sell-on clause, while Sane will earn around £350,000 a week, securing a significant uplift on the wages on offer to renew his contract in the North West.

Bayern Munich is prepared to invest heavily on young players, a project that has been evident since last season.
