Liverpool set to snap up Manchester United target this summer

Liverpool is prepared to snap up Manchester United target Kalidou Koulibaly, according to report.

The Premier League leaders have been working closely with Koulibaly’s agent Fali Ramadani over a move for the Senegal international who is expected to leave Napoli this summer.

The former Genk defender wants a move to England to play in the Premier League before he hangs his boot and as per the report in Italian media II Mattino claims that Ramadani is set to return to Naples to ‘formalise the offers for Koulibaly.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis wants a figure around €100m but he could settle for a valuation not exceeding €80m.

Koulibaly, 29, is one of the best defenders in Europe and it has already been suggested that installing him alongside Virgil van Dijk would create the ‘world’s best central defence’.

Manchester United could step cup their interest with Liverpool jumping the queue to sign the player the Red Devils target whose services is also highly required at Old Trafford to partner Harry Maguire in the heart of the defence.
