Solskjaer Revealed Cristiano Ronaldo Major role in signing Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United coach has revealed that the former United player played a major role in the signing of Bruno Fernandes.

Solskjaer admits 'scouting' Bruno Fernandes via Cristiano Ronaldo and also said to contact Cristiano thanks to Patrice Evra.

Cristiano's recommendation on Bruno was very good, he notes.

"So obviously Cristiano [Ronaldo] was an easy goal for me that I managed to get through [to ask about Bruno Fernandes]," Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed for The High-Performance podcast.

"Through Patrice Evra, I managed to get hold of Cristiano and his recommendation obviously stood him in good stead," he further explained.

Just to remind, Patrice Evra and Cristiano Ronaldo played for Man United between 2005 and 2009.

Besides, the Frenchman also was a Juventus player a year before the Portuguese eventually joined them.

Patrice Evra currently works as a trainee coach at United academy.
