Barca Vice-president Jordi Cardoner set to replace Bartomeu if he resigns

Barcelona's VP Jordi Cardoner would become Barcelona's interim president if Josep Maria Bartomeu resigns, RAC1 reveal.

He would remain in charge until the elections are carried out.

Cardoner won't offer his candidacy for the presidential elections, though.

There is still hope that Bartomeu accepts his resignation if it means keeping Leo Messi at the Catalan club.

However, some other reports claim otherwise, stating that the captain's decision to leave is irreversible.

Meanwhile, the motion of no confidence against the current board is expected to be officially presented in the coming hours.
