Barcelona board reportedly demand Bartomeu's resignation, others quit themselves

The urgent meeting appears to be over and the directors believe that Messi could still stay if Bartomeu leaves.

Barcelona's urgent board meeting is over, according to TyC Sports' journalist German Garcia Grova.

As things stand, it's a total revolution at the club because the directors are asking Josep Maria Bartomeu to resign immediately.

Others have decided to quit themselves.

There is still hope that Bartomeu may accept his resignation if it means to keep Leo Messi at the club.

Leo has informed Barca he wants to leave right now, possibly because he doesn't trust the current board.

There have been rumours the club may even take their captain to court as they are unwilling to let him leave for free.
