Former Barcelona star Larsson 'serious candidate' to join Koeman's coaching staff

Henrik Larsson is a 'serious candidate' to become one of Ronald Koeman's assistants at Barcelona, according to Dutch source AD Sportwereld.

The Swede used to play for the Catalan giants between 2004 and 2006.

The former attacker won four trophies as a Blaugrana, including the Champions League in 2006.

Even though the 48-year-old has some experience as a manager, he hasn't yet managed any trophies during his coaching career.

Meanwhile, the mastermind behind Ajax's 2018-2019 success, Alfred Schreuder, is expected to become Koeman's first assistant, according to Diario Sport.

Koeman could be announced as Barca's new head coach in the coming minutes.
