Inaki Pena to be promoted to Barcelona first team due to Ter Stegen Surgery

Barcelona are going to promote the talented goalkeeper due to Marc-Andre ter Stegen's injury.

The 21-year-old is expected to become Neto's back-up or even the club's temporary No.1 goalkeeper if the Catalans manage to offload the Brazilian.

Inaki Pena has made five penalty saves for the reserves, also keeping 21 clean sheets in 51 matches for the youth sides.

As a reminder, Ter Stegen will miss the start of the 2020-2021 campaign after knee surgery he had this Tuesday.

The club confirmed that the German will need two and a half months to fully recover, meaning that he will be back in November.
