Messi can't handle Premier League intensity, He's not Ronaldo

According to former Arsenal man Petit Messi is better off staying in Spain.

Speaking to the Mirror, former Arsenal man Emmanuel Petit said: "Honestly, I don't think Lionel Messi is suited to the intensity of England.

"He doesn't like being closed down and being fought. In Spain, he's protected. Messi is not Cristiano Ronaldo. Physically, he's not the same machine.

"Ronaldo is a monster but, at 32, Messi has only one or two more years playing at the highest level. He won't have the same pace or the dribbling ability."

Messi has been sensationally linked with a move to Manchester United with the Argentine reportedly looking to quit Barcelona for good.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are not believed to be interested in signing the forward with the Red Devils' transfer priorities laying elsewhere.
