Messi lawyers request meeting with Barcelona Board as he seeks friendly exit

After 20 years at Camp Nou, the Messi doesn't want to depart on bad terms.

Despite all the negativity in the press, Leo Messi wants to leave Barcelona 'in a more friendly way', Onda Cero's Alfredo Martinez reports.

The player's lawyers have requested a meeting with the club during which they would discuss the best exit scenario for both parties.

Meanwhile, it's been reported that Josep Maria Bartomeu is determined to keep Messi at Camp Nou and will refuse to sell him.

In such case, the only way of getting him out of Blaugrana would be to trigger his €700m release clause.
