New Arsenal attacker Willian now the 9th highest-earning player in Premier League

Willian's transfer saga is finally over as he joined Arsenal on a 3-year deal earlier on Friday.

There were speculations on why the Brazillian rejected Chelsea's contract offers and why he opted for the Gunners instead but at least one of these reasons became rather clear when his wage at the Emirates Stadium was revealed by the Daily Mail.

According to the outlet, the 32-year-old will now earn £220,000 per week.

It is even more staggering when compared to other Premier League salaries, as Willian has now become the 9th highest-earning player in English top-flight division.

Here's how the top 10 looks like, as per the Daily Mail:
1. David De Gea (Manchester United) - £375,000 p/w

2. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) - £350,000 p/w

2. Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) - £350,000 p/w

4. Paul Pogba (Manchester United) - £300,000 p/w

4. Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) - £300,000 p/w

6. Timo Werner (Chelsea) - £270,000 p/w

7. Anthony Martial (Manchester United) - £250,000 p/w

8. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) - £240,000 p/w

9. Willian (Arsenal) - £220,000 p/w

10. Harry Kane (Tottenham) - £200,000 p/w

10. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) - £200,000 p/w

10. Sadio Mane (Liverpool) - £200,000 p/w

10. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) - £200,000 p/w

The 32-year-old will now receive more than any Liverpool player and more than any Chelsea player, with the exception of Timo Werner. Yep, 'one of the biggest clubs in the world', we get it, Willian.

No wonder Chelsea were reluctant to satisfy the Brazillian's contract demands.

On the other hand, after all the years in the Blue shirt, he's earned his right for a good pension during his football ageing.
