Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explain reason behind Manchester United late substitutions in Sevilla defeat

It took Man United 87 minutes to make their first substitutions of the game.

Ole was happy with the way his team was playing until then.

Speaking to the media after the Sevilla Europa League defeat, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "You know, at times in games like this when you create so many chances and openings it's difficult to take players with goals in them out of the pitch.

"Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes - they're all goalscorers - and they've been fantastic for us. They created enough to score.

"Yeah, we looked a little tired towards the end but we've done excellent and I made the decisions I made."

Manchester United are out of the Europa League after the 2-1 defeat against Sevilla with the Red Devils finishing the third consecutive season without a trophy.

It took Solskjaer 87 minutes to make his first change of the game on Sunday when Juan Mata, Daniel James, and Timothy Fosu-Mensa were brought in to no avail.
