The youngster hopes to earn Koeman's trust while playing for the reserves.

Alex Collado won't be joining Girona on a loan deal even though the transfer was almost settled last week, reliable Albert Roge of Diario Sport reveals.

Apart from Girona, some other clubs all over Europe have expressed their interest in the attacker.

Yet the promising youngster now wants to stay at Barcelona even though he will only get some minutes with the reserves.

The 21-year-old hopes to earn Ronald Koeman's trust but there are already a lot of wingers in the first-team squad.

Collado suffered a serious metatarsal fracture which made him unavailable for the end of the last campaign and the pre-season friendlies.

Last term, the winger registered five goals and five assists in 24 matches for the B side.

Alex also made one appearance for the seniors, playing five minutes in the away La Liga match against Valencia.
