Riqui Puig won't be promoted to Barcelona's first team, as per Diario Sport.
However, the 21-year-old will be part of Ronald Koeman's squad and will be able to feature when needed.
It is also specified that the midfielder will be wearing the No. 28 jersey.
Earlier on, Koeman stated that he wanted to loan Puig out; the club kept their gem after a rumoured meeting with the player's lawyers.
Riqui has been on form in pre-season but the Dutchman supposedly doesn't see the player in his tactical plans.
