Barcelona legend Rivaldo has revealed Luis Suarez has the right to stay even if the coach doesn't want him

Rivaldo suggests the team needs Suarez with Messi being past his 30s.

Meanwhile, Barca are looking to offload Luis, but his move to Juve seems to have collapsed.

"Luis Suarez has the right to stay at the club even after receiving the message from the new manager that he would not be part of the squad.

He is cherished by fans for all he has done for the club," Rivaldo has told Betfair.

"With Leo Messi being 33 years old, and in the last year of his contract, players like Ansu Fati and Antoine Griezmann have the chance to step up. They need to perform or Ronald Koeman will have to use Messi, and even Suarez, more than he would like."

For the moment, Suarez's future is up in the air. The Uruguayan was close to joining Juventus and has even passed his Italian language exam but the move seems to have fallen through. Atletico Madrid have also been linked with Luis.

In case the striker stays at Barcelona, Koeman is ready to count on him.
