Chelsea will be hosted by either Leyton Orient or Tottenham in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup if they defeat Barnsley next week.
The third-round tie against the Championship side will take place on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge, while our potential opponent will be known on Tuesday.
The fourth-round ties will take place in the week after the previous round, on September 29-30.
Last season, the Blues were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Man United in the fifth round.
