The attacker has become the most expensive German player in football history.
But he refuses to succumb to pressure because of the hefty price tag.
Kai's aim is to focus on football and do his best for Chelsea.
"Of course it’s a big price tag but I think in football today it is normal to pay these prices," Kai Havertz said about his transfer to Chelsea as quoted by talkSPORT.
"So for me, I will not put a lot of pressure on myself because I think I am doing not the best or the worst because the price tag is that high.
"I am trying to focus on football and trying to play my best football here in Chelsea and not put pressure on myself.
"I’m just playing football, I love to play football. That’s why I’m here. I’ll try my best."
Kai Havertz joined Chelsea less than two weeks ago for an initial fee of £62m which could raise by further £10m in bonuses - this would put him level with Kepa as Chelsea's most expensive players ever.
Still, it might be even considered a bargain courtesy of Marina Granovskaia, given that Bayer Leverkusen demanded at least £90m for their most valued asset.
