Impressed
Antoine Griezmann — 7
The 4-2-3-1 suits Griezmann well because it allows him to change positions with Messi from time to time and start creating chances for the team.
The Frenchman knows how to position himself inside the penalty box and he proved that in the second minute of the game when he opened the score for Barcelona.
Although he isn't at his best yet, Antoine is already doing better than when playing on the wing.
Ansu Fati — 7.5
The youngster was a bit off in the first time but did great after the break. Ansu got close to scoring twice and even set up Messi with an inch-perfect through ball.
Fati has settled well on the left flank and it looks like Ronald Koeman will use him as a regular starter in the 2020/21 season.
Leo Messi — 8
We've seen the Argentine play in three positions vs Elche: as a right winger, as an attacking midfielder, and as a centre-forward. Messi has several chances to score but the highlights of his game ware his chips and through balls.
Leo is gradually shifting towards becoming a playmaker and this season might be the one that he finally establishes himself as one.
Philippe Coutinho — 8.5
The Brazilian was voted as the MVP of the match and fully deserved it. Besides being a constant threat thanks to his long-range shots, Coutinho was also great at creating chances for his teammates. Koeman has promised Philippe to make him an important member of the team and it looks likes he's going to keep that promise.
Disappointed
Frenkie de Jong — 5.5
The Dutchman has been off-form the whole pre-season and it's not easy to say what exactly is the reason behind it. Frenkie lost a few balls during the game and the passes he completed weren't the most daring one, he tried to play it safe. It would be fair to say that De Jong looked better playing in a more advanced role last season than he's doing at the moment.
Sergio Busquets — 5.5
The 31-year-old has played as a lone pivot his whole career, at La Masia and at the first team, and now he has to adapt to playing in a double pivot system. Busquets looked quite confused during the games and was often caught out of position. In the new set-up, Sergio has to run more, which has never been his strong side.
Others: Neto — 7, Roberto — 7, Pique — 6, Lenglet — 6, Alba — 6, Pjanic — 6, Trincao — 6, Dembele — 6.5, Pedri n/a.
