Good move for the Coaching staff: Pixellot now one of Barcelona's newest sponsors

In July 2020, Barcelona signed an agreement with Pixellot, "a sports technology company that specialises in audiovisual technology", as per the Evening Standard's Ben Hayward.

The company will offer Barca opportunities to re-watch the team's games from various angles to make it useful for the coaching staff and entertaining for the fans.

Even the training sessions will be recorded differently so that the coaches could analyse every little detail of the players' training performance.

"We have two very clear goals: to optimise performance and to prevent injuries.

This technology uses algorithms for tracking to follow the game flows inside in a high-resolution panoramic caption," Barca's board member Marta Plana has told Standard Sport.

Recurring injury setbacks have been among Barca's biggest problems over the past two seasons.

The new technologies could be of particular interest for a team's new assistant coach Alfred Schreuder who's arguably the most innovative person in the coaching staff right now.
