I would've stayed had you told me earlier: Willian to Chelsea new guy Thiago Silva

The Telegraph details how the former PSG captain sought out the advice of his two Brazilian mates before sealing a move to Stamford Bridge.

Just before the conclusion of last season's Champions League campaign, super-agent Pini Zahavi approached Thiago Silva with an offer from Chelsea, The Telegraph report.

While Silva was intrigued by the idea as he wanted to challenge himself in the Premier League, he sought out advice from two close friends and fellow countrymen - then-teammate Neymar, and former Blue Willian.

Neymar immediately told Silva to take up this offer as 'it would be a challenge he would regret not taking'.

The centre-back then called Willian, who was on the verge of signing for Arsenal at the time.

When the winger heard about Silva's plan, he laughed and said: "If I'd known you were moving to Chelsea, I would have stayed there after all."

The rest is history - shortly after his team lost to Bayern Munich in the CL final, Silva was officially announced as a Blue and we have our former player and Neymar to thank for this!
