Jose Mourinho slams Carabao Cup scheduling ahead of Chelsea tie:

The Blues are taking on their former coach on Tuesday.

Spurs apparently wanted to reschedule the tie as they'll have to play 3 games in the next 7 days.

Mourinho'll have to do without an injured Son now, and he expects more issues in the coming games.

"It’s just the first one," Jose Mourinho commented on the injury Son Heung-min suffered in the Newcastle draw. "I imagine that Tuesday another one, Thursday another one and maybe Sunday a couple more.

"But this is the respect that Tottenham gets. Tottenham is a big club but it’s a club where our history in terms of trophies is not as big as other clubs.

"I realise that. I’m coaching with a lot of passion, a lot of love. I love to be here, I don’t see myself leaving and going to another club because I love it so much. But I realise now the difference between clubs with big history and others."

After hosting Chelsea on Tuesday, Spurs will have to play their fixtures in the Europa League and in the Premier League in less than a week - you can't but sympathise Mourinho in this respect.

The best thing that Chelsea can do for Spurs is to relieve them of the Carabao Cup duty which would make it three wins out of three for Frank Lampard over his mentor.
