Liverpool's manager blames the media for creating a rivalry where there isn't one and also He adds that he and Lampard are competitive but that's about it.
Some people want a rivalry like the old days but Klopp is not interested in that.
"No rivalry. You should stop reading newspapers! I don't get that," Jurgen Klopp told the media when asked about his relationship with Frank Lampard (via the Liverpool Echo).
"When you ask me, I answer and everyone takes it the way they want. You all make a story. You say I made a story about the 'transfer behaviour of Chelsea' You create a rivalry between us. Why?
"He is probably a really nice guy but we don't know each other but on the sidelines we are competitive. I heard some people are happy if there is the old rivalry again like Arsene and Sir Alex. The world doesn't need these stories only some of you in the newspapers."
The two managers had an argument which got a little abusive when Chelsea travelled to Anfield for the second-last game of the 19/20 Premier League season.
Recently, Klopp took a swipe at Chelsea's transfer activity and said that his team cannot do the same as they're not 'owned by oligarchs'; Lampard responded to the German strongly.
Liverpool will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Sunday and we cannot wait to beat the champions!
