Kurt Zouma revealed he can't wait to play alongside Thiago Silva and to learn from him
Chelsea defender Zouma says that our new signing is very experienced and He can't wait to play alongside the veteran.
Zouma adds that Silva is a great guy off the field too and has done it all at the biggest of stages.
“I know he will bring experience [to Chelsea]. [He is] also a great guy off the pitch,” Kurt Zouma told Chelsea TV as he discussed Thiago Silva.
“He has played great matches, with Brazil, and the Champions League final recently. He will bring lots of experience, I would say. It will be good training with him, learning from him, it will be great.”
Last season, the Chelsea defence conceded 54 goals in 38 games which was the worst record out of all the teams in the Premier League's top 10.
Our defence is quite young - Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Zouma who look to be 3 of the 4 starting defenders this season, are all under 25 years old.
They will learn a lot from someone like Silva who has won over 25 trophies in his career and is experienced at the biggest of stages, and his on-field personality will help avoid individual mistakes that were committed last season. We can't wait to to see the veteran make his debut!
