Kai Havertz believes Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has the ability to turn him into a great player

The Chelsea manager was one of the players Kai watched a lot as a kid.

Lampard likes Havertz's ability to go into the box and be a direct goal threat.

Naturally, Frank is someone who can teach Kai a lot about it.

"I watched many games of him as a kid and I loved him as a player," Kai Havertz said about Frank Lampard as quoted by the official Chelsea website. "He was one of the biggest players in England of his time.

"He likes the way I play as a midfielder, to go into the box trying to score goals and make assists. It helps a lot to have a manager who played for such a long time in the Premier League and in the national team.

"He can give me tips and I think he will help me a lot to become a better football player so I’m very excited that he’s my manager now."

As the 21-year-old has revealed earlier, Frank Lampard played a very important role in his decision to join the Blues, so it's not really a surprise to hear him speak fondly of his new manager again.

It's been less than two weeks since Havertz arrived at Stamford Bridge, but he's already made his debut, even if not in a position we might've expected him to play.
