Real Madrid set to extend Ramos' contract before end of the year
According to a report by AS, Real Madrid will extend Sergio Ramos' contract sometime before Christmas. In fact, it is only a matter of when.
Both parties are in agreement over an extension but the duration of the new deal continues to be a talking point.
Ramos is willing to sign a new contract only if it runs until 2023 while the club's policy dictates that players over 30 can only get a year's extension.
Nevertheless, the captain wants to retire at Madrid and given his incredible stats even at 34 years of age, the club should just give him what he wants.
He currently has a year left on his deal with the Whites, meaning time is ticking.
