Real Madrid star Bale had a disappointing return to Wales in UEFA Nations League clash; subbed at half-time

The Welshman was extremely ineffective as his side picked up a narrow win.

Gareth Bale failed to impress in Wales’ 1-0 win over Finland in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday, getting subbed at half-time for his poor work.

The Welshman played his first game since June so rustiness was rather evident, with Bale barely being involved in their attacks.

He only managed one shot which flew well past the goal and couldn’t create a single chance for Wales.

Bale also only managed 9 passes with a 69% accuracy, while none of his 2 crosses met their mark inside the box.

The 29-year-old didn't look match-fit at all and this poor performance probably means Zinedine Zidane won’t consider picking him anytime soon.
