There is sufficient evidence that the president has personally benefitted from the infamous 'Barcagate' scandal.

No rest for Josep Maria Bartomeu: the Barcelona board have been accused of corruption by the Catalan police force Los Mossos, El Mundo have just reported.

Bartomeu currently 'stands accused of making personal financial gains from the club', as the source has puts it.

Police have found 'sufficient evidence' of corruption behind the infamous 'Barcagate' scandal.

As a reminder, this February, Cadena SER broke the news that the club paid almost €1m to the third party, PR company I3 Ventures, to hire multiple social media accounts.

These so-called 'social media influencers' were used to protect the reputation of Josep Maria Bartomeu and tarnish the images of the former and current players.

The Catalan club have always denied any links between them and I3 Ventures company.

It remains to be seen what is going to happen to Bartomeu next as he is in the hot waters already following the Leo Messi transfer saga, the Champions League humiliation and many other controversial incidents.
